The
Steve Casebolt Racing team had two more Lucas Oil Late
Model Dirt Series battles on their schedule over the
August 27-28 weekend in the states of Indiana and Kentucky.
On Friday night, the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg,
Indiana played host to a $10,000 to win, SPEED Channel
taped program. Steve Casebolt ran third in heat race
action, which lined him up starting twelfth in the 50-lap
main event. In front of a huge throng of fans at the
southeastern Indiana complex, Steve hung around the
top ten before eventually guiding his #c9 entry to an
eleventh place performance.
Next up for the team was a trip to the Bluegrass Speedway
in Bardstown, Kentucky on Saturday evening for another
$10,000 to win showdown. Steve finished sixth in his
stacked heat race and later grabbed the third and final
transfer spot through his B-Main. After starting twenty-first
in the 50-lap 'Bluegrass Classic,' the Richmond, Indiana
native worked his way past six competitors en route
to a fifteenth place effort. Steve currently finds himself
seventh in the latest LOLMDS point standings following
the doubleheader weekend. Full results can be accessed

Steve Casebolt and his #c9 team traveled to the Batesville
Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas from August
20-22 for the 18th Annual 'Topless 100.' The Lucas Oil
Late Model Dirt Series presided over the nation's premier
topless event, which boasted a whopping $40,000 winner's
check. Steve started out the weekend by posting the
eleventh fastest lap in his group during qualifying
on Friday night and later finished fourth in his stacked
heat race. When action resumed at Batesville on Saturday
evening, Steve grabbed the second transfer spot out
of his B-Main behind winner Billy Moyer.
After the consolation races were completed, Mother
Nature invaded the area and rain pushed back the 'Topless
100' until Sunday afternoon. On a sun-baked racetrack
on Sunday, tire management and pit strategy were the
name of the game, as each driver was forced to pit at
least once for new rubber. Steve used a fast racecar
and sound pit strategy to walk away from Batesville
with a tenth place finish in the 100-lapper, which was
taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel. The Richmond,
Indiana native still sits eighth in the latest version
of the LOLMDS point standings following the 'Topless
100.' Complete results can be found online at www.lucasdirt.com.

The Steve Casebolt Racing team was back in action on
August 13-14 in the annual 'North/South 100' at the
venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. The
Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned
the historic race and a hefty $50,000 top prize was
up for grabs. Seventy-one competitors converged on the
Cincinnati area venue for the crown jewel extravaganza
on Friday night for qualifying and Steve Casebolt timed
in twentieth fastest in Group B.
When the program resumed on Saturday evening at Florence,
Steve was unfortunately involved in a heat race incident,
which tore the left side of his new body completely
off the racecar. The Richmond, Indiana native later
took use of a series provisional to gain access into
the 100-lapper and rolled off twenty-third in the 'North/South
100.' In front of a standing-room-only crowd, Steve
raced hard early in the event before retiring in the
twenty-fourth position. He currently finds himself eighth
in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings
following the weekend. Complete results can be found
online at www.lucasdirt.com.

York and Maryland from July 27-31 for a trio of $10,000

Fonda Speedway in Fonda, New York on Tuesday night.
Steve started twenty-third in the 50-lap main event
at Fonda and passed twelve competitors en route to a

in Vernon, New York then took center stage on Thursday

at Utica Rome.
The tripleheader week for the cars and stars of the

on the grid. The Richmond, Indiana native steadily moved
