Tackles Spring Nationals Triple Shot in Bluegrass State
20, 2014) Steve Casebolt Racing returned to Dirt
Late Model competition from April 17-19 in a trio of Old
Man's Garage Spring Nationals tour showdowns in the Bluegrass
State of Kentucky. On Thursday night at 201 Speedway in
Sitka, Kentucky, Steve Casebolt timed in twenty-second
fastest during the qualifying session and later finished
fifth in his consolation race, which narrowly kept him
out of the $4,000 to win main event. At Ponderosa Speedway
in Junction City, Kentucky on Friday evening, Steve won
his B-Main before retiring early in the $4,000 to win
feature en route to a disappointing twenty-second place
The triple shot of racing action then concluded for the
#c9 team on Saturday at the venerable Florence Speedway
in Union, Kentucky. The 38th edition of the 'Spring 50'
drew a stout 37 car field - all of whom were vying for
the $5,000 top prize. Steve ran third in his stacked heat
race, which earned him the rights to the outside of the
seventh row for the start of the 50-lapper. Unfortunately,
the Richmond, Indiana ace was another early retiree in
the 'Spring 50' and was paid for twenty-third at the pay
window following the race. Full results from the tripleheader

Results from Volunteer (TN) Speedway
15, 2014) After spending much of the day putting
a new powerplant in their #c9, the D&R Motorsports
team showed up late to Volunteer (TN) Speedway tonight
for the $10,000 to win 'Spring Thaw' finale. Steve Casebolt
barely made it to staging for qualifying and later advanced
up to fifth in his heat race. Unfortunately, a flat tire
early in his B-Main caused Steve to rely on a Spring Nationals

The Richmond, Indiana ace passed some cars early in the
race before an oil leak eventually caused him to retire
in the twentieth position.

the outside of the front row in the 30-lap main event.
The Richmond, Indiana standout got the jump at the initial

and notched an impressive runner-up performance in the
USA Invasion Tour finale!

he won the 'Coke Firecracker' over Newcastle ace Nathan
Disney and Tod Bayley. --- Story from Valvoline
