Steve Casebolt Runs Into Issues During Chi-Town Showdown

On October 13-14, the #c9 team was in the pit area at the pristine Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois, as the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned the two-day 'Chi-Town Showdown.' In Friday night's $10,000 to win weekend opener, Steve Casebolt exploded a wheel during qualifying, but later moved up to finish fifth in his heat race - despite getting caught up in a wreck. Steve then slowed on the nineteenth circuit after losing his brakes and was eventually placed twenty-first in the final rundown of the 50-lap main event. The 'Chi-Town Showdown' finale on Saturday evening, which was scheduled to boast another $10,000 winner's share, was washed out early in the day due to inclement weather and will not be rescheduled. Casebolt Debuts New MasterSbilt in DIRTcar Fall Nationals!

Steve Casebolt and the c9 Enterprises team debuted a brand-new MasterSbilt racecar on October 7-8 during the 'DIRTcar Fall Nationals' at the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio! On Saturday evening, Steve knocked down the ninth fastest lap overall during the American Late Model Series (ALMS) qualifying session prior to scoring the victory in heat race action. He was then running eighth in the $5,000 to win main event when the race was postponed due to heavy rainfall after only sixteen circuits. When the 40-lap affair was restarted on Sunday afternoon, Steve drove up to the fifth position before eventually settling for a solid sixth place performance behind only winner Jeep Van Wormer, Bobby Pierce, Kent Robinson, Jon Henry, and Jacob Hawkins. Steve Casebolt Competes During 47th Running of World 100

The #c9 team made the journey to the hallowed grounds of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on September 7-9 for the "Granddaddy of Them All" - the 47th Annual 'World 100.' The most prestigious event in our industry got underway with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs with each feature winner receiving $10,000 for their efforts. On Thursday night, Steve Casebolt placed second in his heat race prior to slipping back to thirteenth in the 25-lap main event. At the "Big E" on Friday evening, Steve was unfortunately unable to transfer into the 25-lapper after running eighth in his heat race and ninth in his B-Main.

When the calendar flipped to Saturday, the largest crowd in the history of the storied 1/2-mile speedplant was on hand to witness the 'World 100,' which boasted a hefty $50,000 windfall. Steve finished eighth in his stacked heat race and twenty-second in his B-Main. Unfortunately, the Richmond, Indiana standout was not able to earn a starting spot into the 100-lap headliner, which was eventually won by Jonathan Davenport. Casebolt Tackles ALMS Triple Shot in Buckeye State...

The c9 Enterprises team invaded Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, Ohio, and Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from September 1-3 for a trio of American Late Model Series (ALMS) specials. On Friday night in a $5,000 to win shootout at Attica, Steve Casebolt earned Fast Time honors in qualifying, ran second in his heat race, and later finished fourth in the 30-lapper behind only winner Jon Henry, Corey Conley, and Steve Kester. In a $2,000 to win program on Saturday at Oakshade, Steve placed third in his heat race and seventeenth in the headliner. At Eldora in the $3,000 to win 'Baltes Classic' on Sunday evening, Steve won his heat race in preliminary action, but later retired early from the 30-lap sprint in the twenty-first position. Steve Casebolt and his #c9 team traveled to Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio and Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on August 25-26. At Moler on Friday evening in a $1,000 to win weekly Super Late Model showdown, Steve ran second in his heat race and a strong runner-up in the headliner behind only victor Kody Evans. On Saturday night at Lawrenceburg, a $12,000 top prize was on the line in the annual running of the 'Whiskey City 60.' Steve timed in eighth fastest in Group B during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying prior to placing fifth in his heat race and third in his B-Main. The Richmond, Indiana ace was then an early retiree in the 60-lapper and was officially placed twenty-third in the 'Whiskey City 60.' The #c9 Enterprises team rolled into Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio and Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on August 18-19 for a pair of unsanctioned special events. On Friday night in the $3,500 to win 'Ike Moler Memorial,' Steve Casebolt placed sixth in the fast dash, but later opted to pull off the rough racing surface after only one circuit in the feature and wound up twenty-first at the pay window. At PRP on Saturday evening in the annual 'Fred Dillow Memorial,' which boasted a $5,000 paycheck, Steve won his heat race in preliminary action and later blitzed past six competitors to score a strong third place podium effort behind only victor R.J. Steve Casebolt Competes in North/South 100 Weekend...

Steve Casebolt and his #c9 team invaded the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on August 10-12 for the 35th Annual 'North/South 100,' which was once again sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The three-day extended weekend in the Commonwealth of Kentucky kicked off on Thursday night with the 'North/South Shootout,' which boasted a $10,000 top prize and drew a stout 67 car field. Steve qualified twenty-sixth fastest in Group A during the qualifying session prior to running fifth in his loaded heat race and fourth in his B-Main. Unfortunately, those finishes narrowly kept him out of the 50-lap feature that was ultimately won by Jimmy Owens.

On Friday evening, the 'North/South 100' officially got underway with a double set of qualifying heat races at the Cincinnati-area facility. Steve placed ninth in his first heat race of the night and third in his final prelim race. The Richmond, Indiana ace then drove to a third place effort in Saturday's B-Main, but that was one mere spot away from a coveted transfer spot into the $50,000 to win headliner. Steve did later compete in the Non-Qualifiers Race, which paid $2,500 to the winner, and walked way with a fourth place performance. Steve Casebolt recorded his fourth feature win of 2017 on Saturday night, August 5 in his first-ever visit to Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, Indiana! Steve qualified third fastest overall during American Ethanol Late Model Tour time trials prior to placing third in his heat race. After starting the 40-lap main event from the outside of the front row, Steve led each and every circuit during the feature distance to pocket the $4,000 windfall over Tim Manville, Dona Marcoullier, Travis Stemler, and Tripp Gerrald. Racing Incident Takes Casebolt Out of Buckeye Dirt Week Finale

Steve Casebolt and his own #c9 team invaded Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Saturday evening, July 29 for the finale of the Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week, which paid $5,000 to the winner. After laying down the second fastest lap overall during time trials, Steve placed fourth in his inverted heat race. The Richmond, Indiana native then started the 40-lapper from the inside of the eighth row, but a racing incident wound up bending his rack and forced him out of the A-Main in the twenty-third position. Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series Nightly Results...
(July 22, 2017)
A short trip over to Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia greeted the #c9 team today for the 18th edition of the 'Rebel Yell,' which boasted a $10,053 top prize. Steve Casebolt laid down the fourth fastest time in Group B during qualifying and later grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the 51-lap contest from the outside of the eighth row, Steve was unfortunately the first retiree in the race and settled for a twenty-second place outing. After the event tonight at Screven, the Beeman Motorsports team opted to head back to Indiana and Steve will not finish the final week of the Southern Nationals miniseries.

(July 21, 2017) Steve Casebolt and the #c9 team made the three-hour overnight trek to Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia for tonight's fifth round of Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series competition. A strong 28 car field assembled at the Peach State speedplant and all eyes were focused on the $5,300 payday. Steve stopped the clock eighth fastest in Group B during time trials prior to picking up another victory in his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the fourth row in the 53-lap main event, Steve was an early retiree in the attrition-filled race that saw only five cars finish the distance. The Richmond, Indiana standout was eventually placed seventeenth in the final finishing order.

(July 20, 2017) Another night, another state for the Beeman Motorsports team, as they followed the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series south to the gray gumbo of Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia tonight for a $3,500 to win duel. Steve Casebolt knocked down the sixth quickest time in Group B during qualifying and later claimed another heat race triumph. Unfortunately, Steve slipped back to finish eighteenth in the 35-lap headliner tonight at the Atlanta-area oval.

(July 18, 2017) Round three of the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series took the #c9 team to 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tennessee tonight for a $3,500 to win battle. Steve Casebolt clicked off the third quickest time in Group B during qualifying prior to scoring an impressive win in heat race action. After starting the 35-lapper from the outside of the third row, Steve was unfortunately caught up in an early incident and was forced to pit for a flat tire. He returned at the tail of the field and proceeded to blast back through pack to salvage a respectable ninth place showing tonight in the Volunteer State.

(July 17, 2017) Next up was a trip to Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, North Carolina tonight, as the 1/4-mile bullring played host to a $3,500 to win shootout. Steve Casebolt posted the second quickest lap in Group A during the qualifying session, which locked him into the inside of the second row in the 35-lap feature event. Steve then battled towards the front of the talented field throughout the race and eventually crossed under the checkers in the fifth spot behind only winner Brandon Overton, Casey Roberts, Shanon Buckingham, and Craig Vosbergen!

(July 15, 2017) The 2017 edition of the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series tour kicked off earlier tonight at the picturesque Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia. A strong field of 28 competitors signed into the pit area at the 1/2-mile speedplant to vie for the $10,000 winner's check in the miniseries lid lifter. Steve Casebolt - piloting Jim Beeman's MasterSbilt racecar - laid down the ninth fastest lap in Group A during the time trial session prior to placing fourth in his stacked heat race. After starting the 53-lap main event from the inside of the seventh row, Steve was able to work his way past ten competitors during the caution-plagued race en route to a strong third place podium effort behind only victor Vic Hill and runner-up Brandon Overton!

Steve Casebolt Competes in Hectic Four-Race Holiday Weekend

Steve Casebolt wheeled his own #c9 entry on Friday, June 30 and Monday, July 3 to bookend a hectic Independence Day holiday weekend. On Friday evening in a $4,444 to win topless AMRA show at Midway Speedway in Crooksville, Ohio, Steve Casebolt started ninth and was up to fifth early in the race when he was collected in a hard wreck, which dropped him to seventeenth in the final rundown. In a $12,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series shootout on Monday night at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio, Steve clicked off the seventh fastest lap in Group B during qualifying, but an exploded right rear tire in his heat race cost the Richmond, Indiana standout a chance of advancing into the 60-lap headliner.

Behind the wheel of Jim Beeman's #c9 MasterSbilt racecar, Steve was also in action over the busy weekend at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana and Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon, Indiana. In the $5,000 to win 'Born Free 40' on Saturday at Brownstown, Steve won his heat race and was battling for the lead in the 40-lap feature before he slipped over the banking on the 1/4-mile oval. Steve Casebolt and Beeman Motorsports made the trek to the hallowed high-banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on June 8-10 for the 23rd Annual 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' The crown jewel extravaganza drew 79 Super Late Model competitors to the 1/2-mile speedplant to vie for the whopping $100,000 winner's check. Things kicked off at the "Big E" with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs, which paid $5,000 and $10,000 to win respectively.

Steve started out the extended weekend by finishing fourth in his heat race on Thursday night prior to advancing up to eighth in the 25-lap main event. On Friday evening, Steve grabbed the fifth and final transfer spot in heat race action before climbing to thirteenth in the 25-lapper. Casebolt Sweeps Weekend in Southern Ohio for $3,000!

Richmond, Indiana standout Steve Casebolt swept a pair of weekly Super Late Model events in Southern Ohio over the June 2-3 weekend in his own #c9 equipment to bring his 2017 win total to three! On Friday night at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio, Steve had a fuel line come off in his heat race before storming from twelfth to score the $1,000 win in the main event. He took the lead with six laps remaining and beat Devin Gilpin, John Whitney, Jr., Kody Evans, and Kevin Wagner to the checkered flag. At Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Saturday evening, Steve won his heat race and led from flag-to-flag in the A-Main to bag the $2,000 triumph over Jason Montgomery, Delmas Conley, Mark Frazier, and Billy Gullion!
