Casebolt
Racing caps successful western swing at La Salle and Leads Lucas
Oil Points
RICHMOND,
IN (May 21, 2008) - After a 4 race swing through
Kentucky, Missouri, Iowa and Illinois Casebolt Racing leads the
Lucas Oil points for the first time this season.
Of the four races the worst finish was an eleventh place
finish at La Salle Speedway in La Salle, IL. “We weren’t very
happy with our run at La Salle, after the heat race we thought we
had one of the better cars and I guess I just didn’t quite go
far enough set-up wise to be competitive in the feature”, stated
Steve.
At La Salle the team qualified 2nd fastest out of
the 39 car field and ran 2nd in their heat race after
being inverted to the third starting spot.
Steve started 6th in the main event and
struggled throughout the event to keep his Dixie Chopper/Fatheadz
Sunglasses sponsored machine towards the front of the field. By the time the
checkers flew for Tim McCreadie, Steve had lost 5 positions and
ended up eleventh in the final rundown. The other 3 races of the swing saw the team finish 5th
twice and 4th at the Diamond Nationals.
