JUNE 3,
2010
After 3 long days at Wheatland, Missouri's Lucas Oil
Speedway Steve Casebolt and team left the Show-Me 100
with all of their hopes shattered. After a lap 11 pit
stop to change a rear tire Steve began his march forward.
By around lap 50 Steve was flirting with the top five.
In a race plagued by cautions and attrition Steve was
able to advance all the way from 25th position on lap
11 to the lead by lap 76.
After Steve took the lead he then proceeded to put
distances of up to a full straight away on the competition.
After passing virtually every car on the track Steve
suffered mechanical failure on lap 89 that took him
out of the race altogether.
"To have a car that good and to lose the race
in the last 11 laps has to be the biggest disappointment
of my entire life. We have all worked so hard to get
an opportunity to win a race with the magnitude of the
Show-Me 100. I just hate it for my crew, family, fans
and sponsors. When I was leading the race I knew how
happy everybody involved would be. To get a win such
as this and to be this close and break is just hear
breaking", stated Steve.
The win would have been worth $30,000 with a $2,000
bonus from long time supporter of Casebolt Racing Sunoco
Race Fuels. Unfortunately the team wasn't able to celebrate
in victory lane but it was clear that they had the car
to beat.
"To have had my name on the Show-Me 100 check
would have been one of the biggest moments in my career.
I just wish we could have made it another 11 laps without
losing the driveshaft. I wasn't really even pushing
the car at the end, just kind of riding on cruise control".
"We are all so disappointed with what happened
that it has been hard to wake up and get back to work
in the mornings. We have managed to get the car put
back together and we'll try to go get them this weekend".
The team will travel to Tazewell, TN and Florence,
KY for a pair of Lucas Oil sanctioned events. Steve
won a $3,000 to win race at Florence speedway earlier
this season so the team is excited to get to go to another
track where they run well at.
"We have been very competitive at Tazewell in
the past leading a Lucas Oil event in 2006 and advancing
from the back of the 2007 event to finish 5th. We feel
we have a shot to win both of these events this weekend".
Steve is the 2007 Ralph Latham Memorial Champion at
Florence Speedway and has had multiple other wins at
the northern Kentucky oval. "We have had as much
success at Florence as we have anywhere and we know
our cars run well there so we are excited about our
chances.

MAY 18,
2010
After a hard night of racing in the state of Virginia
Steve Casebolt and team scored a 4th place finish after
starting 15th and passing 11 competitors. The team,
unfortunately, didn't qualify very well and was relegated
to a 6th place starting spot in the heat race.
"We struggled a little bit in qualifying for whatever
reason and kind of dug ourselves a hole I wasn't sure
we could get out of", said Steve. "We hot
lapped very well and seemed like we were going to start
on the front row of one of the heats but qualifying
hurt us a little bit".
After starting 6th in the 2nd heat Steve passed 2 cars
which transferred the team to the main event. "We
were happy not to have had to run a B-main after starting
so far back but we would have liked to have started
better than 15th in the feature."
At the drop of the green flag in the feature Steve
immediately started his march forward. Steve passed
several competitors that are in the Lucas Oil points
battle. At the end of the race Steve found himself behind
Lucas Oil regulars Jimmy Owens, Earl Pearson and Dale
McDowell. Steve and Scott Bloomquist rounded out the
top 5.
"Overall it was a very good trip to Virginia and
Wythe Raceway turned out to be an extremely nice track
to race on so we are looking forward to going back.
We moved from 8th in points to 7th so we are headed
in the right direction".
Casebolt Racing will take the Preferred Sandblasting,
Dixie Chopper Lawnmowers sponsored machine to Iowa and
Illinois this weekend for a pair of Lucas Oil events.
The first stop will be at 34 Raceway in Burlington,
Iowa then the team will cap the weekend with an event
at LaSalle Speedway in Illinois.

2010
Casebolt Racing took their Preferred Sandblasting, Dixie
Chopper Lawnmower sponsored racecar to victory lane
this past weekend on two separate occasions. The team
competed in two unsanctioned events in the state of
Ohio and emerged victorious after both races.
On Friday night the team traveled to Coal Grove, Ohio
where the track was hosting an unsanctioned $5,000 to
win event. Steve started on the pole for the main event
and lead around 35 laps of the feature. "We were
thrilled to go to Rocky top Speedway and get a $5,000
paycheck this week. Rocky Top is a track that we had
never raced at before so we were excited to walk away
with a win and a check," commented Steve.
Steve had several challenges from regional standout
Eddie Carrier on his way to victory lane. "Eddie
runs extremely well here and has won a lot of races
at this track so we knew he would be tough. I knew if
I didn't make any mistakes it would be hard for him
to get around me, so I just kind of played it cool and
took my time in order not to make any mistakes."
After Friday's win the team traveled to K-C Raceway
in Alma, Ohio (one of Steve's favorite tracks) and scored
yet another win. After timing in 2nd fastest among the
field Steve drove from a 5th place starting spot in
the fast dash to 2nd. This gave the team a front row
outside starting spot for the feature.
Steve led all 30 laps of the feature and worked his
way through lapped traffic without any serious challenges.
"We felt like we had a very good car at K-C, maybe
even better than Rocky Top last night. KC is a tough
place to get a handle on so for our car to be that good
was very encouraging," said Steve. Fellow Richmond,
IN driver Duane Chamberlain finished 2nd followed by
2009 World 100 winner Bart Hartman in 3rd.
Sunday the team turned some laps at Wythe Raceway in
Rural Retreat, VA to further prepare for the next series
event on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tour schedule.
The team is now in Welcome, NC at Richard Childress
Racing getting ready for this Saturday's race at Wythe
Raceway. Steve is currently in 8th place in the championship
points standings but just a few points separate 3rd-8th
in the standings.

APRIL 5,
2010
Steve Casebolt and the Harris Motorsports team made
this past weekend a success with an early season win
on Saturday at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky.
Steve drove his Preferred Sandblasting, Dixie Chopper
sponsored Rocket Chassis to the victory over Florence
Speedway front runner and fellow Lucas Oil regular Don
O'Neal, and Indiana's Scott James.
"This weekend's win at Florence was a great way
for us to get our season started off right. We have
had our fair share of good and bad runs at Florence
over the years so we are happy to get back on track
there. We really feel like we deserved a good run at
Florence since we have worked so hard to get good there,"
said Steve.
The win was Casebolt's fifth at the nearby speedway.
Among Steve's wins at Florence are the $5,000 to win
Spring 50 in 2003 and the $10,000 to win Ralph Latham
Memorial in 2007. Saturday night's race paid the team
$3,000 on a night where Steve lead 36 of the 40 feature
laps.
Casebolt Racing and Harris Motorsports also competed
at Moler Raceway Park's opening event on Friday night,
where the team earned a second place finish after starting
in the fourth position. "We had a really good car
at Moler on Friday night so we felt like we would be
good at Florence Saturday. We run very similar set-ups
at those two tracks, so being good on Friday was key
in helping get Saturday's win," said Steve.
In other exciting news for the Bob Harris owned team,
Dixie Chopper has officially renewed their sponsorship
for the 2010 season. "We will be carrying the Dixie
Chopper logo on the car this season again and we are
thrilled to have them back. Dixie Chopper is a very
reputable company and manufactures awesome lawn mowers,
we are very proud to represent them and help them try
to sell lawn mowers. Dixie Chopper has been a huge part
of my race team for the last two seasons, so I'm obviously
happy to have them carry over onto our new team with
Preferred Sandblasting and Bob Harris," stated
Steve.
The team is still uncertain of its plans for the upcoming
weekend. There are a few different possibilities this
weekend and the team plans to make a decision by mid-week
as to where they will race.

MARCH 2,
2010
Steve Casebolt and new car owner Bob Harris of Preferred
Sandblasting and Painting of Shelbyville, TN are anxiously
awaiting first race together. The team will take their
Dixie Chopper Lawn Mowers sponsored machine to Volunteer
Speedway on Saturday night and Cherokee Speedway in
Gaffney, South Carolina on Sunday.
"This will be the first chance that Bob will have
to see his car race so I am excited about that",
said Steve from his shop on Tuesday afternoon. "The
new team that we have formed had just a mediocre start
to the season at Eastbay Raceway in February, so we
are looking forward to getting back to some more normal
racing and getting the season going".
New car owner Bob Harris had to undergo surgery shortly
before Eastbay and had to stay home to recover. The
team currently sits in the 13th position in Lucas Oil
National Points and looks forward to heading to some
tracks where they run well. "Typically Eastybay
isn't one of my better tracks, we are excited to get
to go to some tracks where we run better at and get
back up near the top of the points," said Steve.
Casebolt Racing has ran well at Cherokee and Volunteer
Speedways in the past so the team is looking forward
to heading south. After leaving Florida Steve qualified
for 6 of the 8 races that they attended. However, the
team didn't compete the way that they wanted to and
have been working hard and regrouping after the subpar
Florida trip.

DECEMBER
31, 2009
Steve Casebolt Racing is proud to announce partnership
with car owner Bob Harris. Over the offseason Steve
and Bob began talks of an alliance to allow Bob to continue
his involvement in dirt late model racing. Casebolt
will join Harris Motorsports as driver and team manager.
"I am excited to be able to join Bob in his racing
endeavors for the upcoming season", stated Steve.
Harris has owned teams in the past with drivers such
as Dale McDowell and Wendell Wallace. Steve has moved
the Shelbyville, TN based team to his shop in Richmond,
IN. Casebolt will have Two new Harris owned Rocket cars
at his disposal. "This has started out to be a
very good situation for me as a racecar driver, instead
of spending so much time worrying about finances I can
focus on what I want to do and that is race", said
Steve.
The team plans to once again carry sponsorship from
longtime sponsor Dixie Chopper Lawn Mowers and add sponsorship
from Preferred Sandblasting and Painting in order to
follow the extremely competitive Lucas Oil Late Model
Dirt Series. Steve will retain current crewmembers,
Jim Focht and Kier Hoover. "I consider myself to
be very fortunate to have so many good people that want
to be a part of what Harris Motorsports and I have going
on, I plan to do the best job possible for them".
The team's first race will be at Gibsonton Florida's
Eastbay Raceway in early February. There will be 6 full
nights of racing all at Eastbay with upcoming races
in Bulls Gap, TN and Gaffney, SC. Things are coming
together at the shop right now, Harris and Casebolt
plan on unveiling the cars new decal scheme in the next
few weeks. Keep watching the website for upcoming changes
and information regarding Harris Motorsports and Casebolt
Racing.
