Steve Casebolt to operate his own Race Team in 2008

RICHMOND, IN (October 15, 2007) – Steve Casebolt has announced that he will pilot his own race car again in 2008. “I really have to thank Dale Beitler for all the success we have had this season”, stated Casebolt. “I have learned a lot this season about managing my own race team and I’m already preparing for the 2008 season.”

As for 2008, Steve plans to again chase the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the championship title. In 2006 Steve was named the series Rookie of the Year. This year he backed it up with a solid 3rd in the overall points battle.  At times Steve sat atop the standings as he picked up two wins with the series.

The team’s ultra successful season was highlighted with a win on the sport’s biggest stage. In June Casebolt drove the Beitler Enterprises team to victory lane at Eldora Speedway, capturing the 13th Annual Dream. The event known for its $100,000 top prize also draws the best in the sport. Other highlights of the season included wins at the Ralph Latham Memorial at Florence Speedway in Kentucky, the Winchester 200 at Winchester Speedway in Virginia, the Creno’s 50 at Muskingum Co. Speedway in Ohio and an American Late Model Series win at Gas City Speedway in Gas City, Indiana.

In the last year, while Steve has been driving for Dale Beitler, he has been better preparing his own operation. Casebolt has continued to update and build upon where he left off with his own team. Steve is in the process of preparing new Rocket Chassis race cars and building his program up to the level of a championship caliber team. Steve plans to further fine-tune his operation before kicking off the 2008 season at East Bay Raceway Park.

This weekend Steve will finish his 2007 race season at the 27th Annual Dirt Track World Championship. “I would love to add a DTWC win to our accomplishments. K-C is one of my favorite tracks and I feel like the chances are really good”.

Steve Casebolt would like to thank his sponsors for their support in the 2007 season: Reliable Painting, Cornett Lightning, Rocket Chassis, American Racer, Arizona Sports Shirts, Sunoco Race Fuels, TC Race Parts, DH Competition Decals, Allstar Performance, AFCO, American Racer Tires, Bazell Oil, Bell, Cruise of the Champions, Design 500, Dyers Top Rods, Hawk Brakes, Hyperco, Integra Racing Shocks, Lucas Oil, Mason Racin, Outerwears, Peterson Fluid Systems, Rick Schwallie Photography, Robbie Allen Enterprises, Scott Performance Wire, WD Enterprises, Wilwood, and Woodward Power Steering.
