Casebolt Wins Second Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Event in 2007

RICHMOND,
IN (July 6, 2007) - Steve
Casebolt driving the Dale Beitler Enterprises Rocket
Chassis registered his second win on the national touring
Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in 2007 at the Muskingum
County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio. The 50-lap feature
event paid $10,000 to Steve and he closed in on the points
lead to within 50 points of Earl Pearson Jr. for the 2007
series championship.
Steve
won his heat race and earned a fourth place starting position for
the 50-lap feature event. At the start Steve immediately moved into
second place and began pressuring for the lead early in the event.
Steve officially took the lead on lap 29 and motored away from the
field to earn his second win on the series in 2007. In the final
laps Steve’s car showed smoke as a wounded power plant slowed his
pace over the final couple of laps but Steve hung on and crossed the
finish line first.
“We
had a great car tonight and were glad the engine held together there
at the end to give us another win on the series in 2007. The
competition on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series this year is
really tough at every race but were on top of our game right now and
hopefully we can catch Earl and take over the points lead this
coming weekend”, stated Steve.
Steve
and the Dale Beitler team also competed in another Lucas Oil Series
event this past weekend at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth,
Ohio. Steve started 17th in the 50-lap $10,000 to win
feature event. Casebolt charged to the front and run in the top ten
early before the track locked down and became hard to pass over the
final 25 laps. Steve finished a solid 8th place and
registered another top ten finish on the series in 2007
